GÜBRETAŞ adds value to these lands with various training meetings it organizes to disseminate good agricultural practices, as well as some corporate social responsibility projects it develops for its stakeholders.

GÜBRETAŞ, which has been a pioneer in the sector in this regard with its perception of social responsibility since its establishment, continues to produce social added values for Turkey. Our company, which has made social benefit a corporate tradition, offers the power it receives from these lands to the benefit of the people of this country through various studies.

As a matter of fact, GÜBRETAŞ was deemed worthy of the award in the Social Responsibility category at the Platinum Apple Awards in 2013 for its work.

IMPORTANT PROJECT FOR THE SECTOR: TURKEY SOIL FERTILITY MAP PROJECT

The Turkey Soil Fertility Map Project, which we started in 2005, aims to create a map of the fertility values of the country's soils. In this project, which is an important data source for the agricultural sector, soil samples were taken and analyzed from more than 15 thousand agricultural lands from 81 provinces until 2021. Soil samples taken within the scope of the project are analyzed for macro and micro nutrients In our internationally accredited laboratories, and farmers are presented with the most appropriate recommendations for that field.

Taking soil samples, analyzing and interpreting them, and mapping studies are carried out by an expert team.

Thanks to the data obtained from the project, in which soil analysis training was given to more than 50 thousand farmers, plant and region-specific fertilizer was developed for the main agricultural products grown in Turkey, contributing to productivity.

SUPPORT TO THE FUTURE OF AGRICULTURE: GÜBRETAŞ EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP

With the project launched in 2007, GÜBRETAŞ provides free educational scholarship support to students of the faculty of agriculture whose families are farmers, throughout their education period, starting from the first year.

Within the scope of the scholarship, which has started to be given to doctoral and master's students in agricultural faculties since 2017, nearly 500 students have been supported so far.

SCHOOL BUILDINGS WE BUILT TO SUPPORT EDUCATION

In commemoration of the 60th anniversary of its establishment, GÜBRETAŞ had a school building built in Hatay and Kocaeli provinces, where its facilities have been located for years, within the framework of social responsibility.

GÜBRETAŞ Secondary School, with a capacity of 1920 students in İskenderun district of Hatay, was opened with a ceremony in 2013 and became one of the most remarkable schools in the region in a short time with its successes.

GÜBRETAŞ Primary School, which was built in the Başiskele district of Kocaeli, with 24 classrooms and a capacity of 720 students, was completed in 2014 and put into service for education.

SECTOR-RELATED CORPORATE PUBLISHING: GÜBRETAŞ LIBRARY

With the corporate publishing work launched under the name GÜBRETAŞ KITAPLIĞI on the 60th anniversary of the company, educational, academic and resource books are published and delivered to our stakeholders in order to contribute to awareness in the agricultural sector.

In addition, various published children's books are given as gifts to students in schools in different parts of Turkey in order to raise agricultural and environmental awareness in future generations.

GÜBRETAŞ MEMORIAL FORESTS

Adopting sustainable environmental awareness in order to leave a beautiful world to future generations, GÜBRETAŞ created a Memorial Forest in Konya in 2007.

In 2014, another GÜBRETAŞ Memorial Forest was established by planting 10 thousand more saplings on the Şile-Ömerli road in Istanbul.

In order to reforest the areas damaged by the fires in Hatay in 2020, GÜBRETAŞ planted 11,111 more saplings in the İskenderun district, where its first production facility is located, in commemoration of its 69th anniversary.

PRESS PHOTO COMPETITION BRINGING AGRICULTURE AND ART TOGETHER

The Press Photography Contest titled Colors of This Land, initiated by GÜBRETAŞ in 2012, was a project that pioneered culture and arts activities in the agricultural sector. The competition, whose jury included master press photographers, aimed to increase the interest of both national and local press in agriculture and contribute to the enrichment of the visual archive in this field. Within the scope of the project, a photography exhibition consisting of award-winning and selected frames at the end of the competition until 2015 met with our stakeholders and photography lovers in different cities of Turkey.

TRAINING MEETINGS AND AGRICULTURAL CONSULTANCY ACTIVITIES FOR CONSCIOUS AGRICULTURE

Working to popularize conscious agriculture by holding farmer training meetings in the field of plant nutrition, GÜBRETAŞ contributes to increasing agricultural productivity and harvesting high-quality products in every part of Turkey by organizing training meetings for agricultural engineers and providing agricultural consultancy support.

In order to popularize good agricultural practices and conscious agricultural production in the agricultural sector, we hold training meetings with the participation of thousands of farmers and agricultural engineers in hundreds of locations in Turkey every year. In these meetings, GÜBRETAŞ's expert agricultural engineers inform our farmers about issues such as balanced and regular fertilization, plant nutrition techniques, soil analysis and cultivation of agricultural products suitable for the region. 'Creating plant nutrition prescriptions' has an important place among GÜBRETAŞ's consultancy services for the implementation of plant nutrition programs prepared according to scientific methods through face-to-face communication for the producer. For this purpose, our agricultural engineers make field visits and provide consultancy and training to our farmers.
