Polyphos-N (Ammonium polyphosphate) is a liquid plant nutrient containing 37% phosphorus and 11% ammonium nitrogen. Due to its special structure, Polyphos-N is beneficial for a longer time than other phosphate-based fertilizers at low soil temperatures by bonding more than one phosphorus molecule in a chain. Thanks to this feature, it increases the effectiveness of the phosphorus element, whose mobility in the soil is limited depending on such as soil pH, moisture, temperature, clay amount and organic matter.
Phosphorus, whose availability decreases depending on soil conditions at all pH values, reacts with calcium and magnesium in alkaline soils and turns into poorly soluble or insoluble calcium phosphate compounds. In acidic soils, it reacts with iron, aluminum and manganese and forms insoluble compounds, making it useless. Compared to traditional orthophosphate fertilizers, Poliphos-N provides longer-term phosphorus availability to plants due to its phosphorus technology.
In the root area, the polyphosphate chain hydrolyzes slowly and thus provides the plant with phosphorus that can be used on time.
