The 69th Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of GÜBRETAŞ, where the financial and operational results of 2020 were evaluated, was held in Istanbul on April 8, 2021. Members of the Board of Directors, company managers and shareholders attended the meeting, which was held in accordance with the social distance rule within the scope of epidemic measures. At the Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of GÜBRETAŞ, which was held in a hotel this year in order to ensure social distance within the scope of epidemic measures, Chairman of the Board of Directors Fahrettin Poyraz stated that Turkish Agricultural Credit Cooperatives and its largest subsidiary GÜBRETAŞ provided uninterrupted fertilizer supply to agricultural production with effective coordination during the epidemic period. He reminded me that he was standing next to the farmer.
In his speech, Chairman of the Board of Directors Fahrettin Poyraz said, “We reached the financial records of the company's history in 2020. As GÜBRETAŞ, our founding mission is to provide this gain through investment for the benefit of farmers, agriculture, the country's economy and our stakeholders. We will continue to work at the same tempo next year and create added value for our country with new investments and studies and carry GÜBRETAŞ to a stronger future. "At this point, our subsidiary in the field of mining will be an important step at the center of Turkey's agriculture and economy sectors," he said.
General Manager İbrahim Yumaklı, who made a presentation about the operational and financial results of 2020 at the event, stated that the company's product availability policy despite the epidemic and the operational activities carried out in this direction were positively reflected in the financial results.
Yumaklı said, “2020 was recorded as a year in which we broke the records of the company's history in production, sales, exports, consolidated turnover and profitability, and completed it with great success. We increased our total fertilizer production by 12%, our solid fertilizer sales amount by 19%, and our liquid-powder group sales amount by 23%. Our company's consolidated turnover increased by 25% and reached 5.4 billion TL. "Thus, we reached new records in operational and financial terms in the 69-year company history," he said.
Stating that GÜBRETAŞ has an approach focused on adding value to the national economy, General Manager Yumaklı said, “We will continue to lead our industry by producing value-added products with the R&D activities we carry out at an increasing pace. "In this context, the R&D Greenhouse and Microbiology Laboratory, which we completed and put into service as application areas of R&D activities in 2020, were important steps," he said.
General Manager İbrahim Yumaklı concluded his words by thanking the farmers who continued production uninterruptedly during the epidemic period and all the employees and stakeholders who contributed to the company's success.
