GÜBRETAŞ, which continued to support farmers by mobilizing all its resources, especially at the point of fertilizer supply, in order to continue agricultural production in our country without interruption during the epidemic period, completed this difficult period by reaching sales amount and consolidated turnover records in the company's history on the basis of the first quarters.
The net profit of GÜBRETAŞ, which achieved a 13% EBITDA increase compared to the same period last year, as of March 31, was 69.7 million TL.

GÜBRETAŞ, the leading company in its sector, made a good start to 2020 with its first quarter operating results, which were completed with operational and financial success. GÜBRETAŞ, which is among the first companies to be publicly offered on the Stock Exchange, announced its balance sheet regarding its activities in the 3 months of this year on the Public Disclosure Platform.

Making an evaluation about the announced results, General Manager İbrahim Yumaklı said, "The uncertainty brought by the coronavirus epidemic, which entered our agenda especially in March, which is the beginning of the critical spring season in terms of agricultural production in our country, still continues its global impact in the transition to the new normal." As GÜBRETAŞ, we quickly implemented our action plan by taking the necessary precautions both within the company and at all our production and logistics points, as well as in our field work, from the first day this epidemic was seen in our country. "With the sense of responsibility given by our leading role in the sector, we promised the public that week that there would be no bottleneck in the supply of fertilizer, which is one of the most important inputs that increase productivity in agriculture for sustainable food access," he said.

Stating that this effort of GÜBRETAŞ was positively reflected in the first quarter indicators, General Manager Yumaklı said, "We fulfilled the promise we made at the beginning of the epidemic by effectively continuing all our operational activities to provide all kinds of fertilizers needed by our farmers during the most active period in agricultural production. Pointing out that within the scope of domestic activities, GÜBRETAŞ has increased its fertilizer production by 8% compared to the first quarter of last year, İbrahim Yumaklı said, "As we believe in the importance of agricultural production, we have achieved record results in this difficult period when we mobilized all our resources and continued to support farmers. On an operational basis, in the first quarter, we achieved the highest sales and shipment amount in the company's history in terms of total solid, liquid and powder products; In financial terms, we achieved results that satisfied our stakeholders in terms of turnover and profitability. In this context, as of the end of March, GÜBRETAŞ achieved an increase of approximately 19% in sales revenues compared to the previous year, and reached a company record on a periodic basis with a consolidated turnover of 1 billion 732 million TL. "At the same time, our company's consolidated net profit for the period, which achieved a 13% EBITDA increase compared to the first quarter of 2019, was 126 million TL, while our net profit attributable to the parent company's share was 69.7 million TL," he said.
